EXTERNAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Africa Village Microfinance S.C. (AVMF) invites qualified, competent, and experienced professionals to apply for the following vacant positions.

1. SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Educational Qualification

• MBA, MA, or BA Degree in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• 4–6 years of relevant professional experience in financial accounting, auditing, general ledger management, or related areas.
• At least 2 years of experience in a senior or supervisory-level accounting position is preferable.

Technical Skills and Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in accounting software, Core Banking Systems (CBS), ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of applicable financial reporting standards, including IFRS/GAAP.
• Sound knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and compliance requirements, including VAT, Withholding Tax, and Payroll Tax.
• Practical experience in bank reconciliation, general ledger management and closure, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and reporting skills.

Professional Certification

IFRS or other relevant professional accounting certification has advantage.

Employment Type: Permanent, subject to successful completion of the probationary period.
